We have one in our area about an hour from here, we had planned on going, but work kind of holds the cards with my husband right now. See what happens:)

Federal Glass Bowl Candy Dish Compote Holder
Federal Glass Bowl Candy Dish Compote Holder has been repurposed, and upcycled by Me. Much better in person, gorgeous iridescent coloring with clear clean glass used. The glass bowl was attached to a small glass candle holder with a hexagon shape. Two pieces coming together to make a one-of-a-kind piece not found in stores. See more pictures of this, and details with my store at Artfire. Love thrifting to be able to find pieces like this, and bring them together. Pieces bought at much different times, different locations, and who would have guessed, right?

Vintage Fenton Green Opalescent Collectible Glass Bowl
Hello, and Welcome to Thrift Store Junkies new blog/page for LilacsNDreams main blog. Hope ya'll have found me ok here, and know this is my way of adding pages to my main blog.
Well now, has anyone been thrifting lately? Have you had a chance to do any good junking, or treasure hunting? I myself have not had much of a chance so far. Been going through things here, donating some things, and trying to get things down in size here. I would like to make some changes with styles in our home, and have to "clean" house a little to do this.
It's a fight to pass the thrift stores along the way of travels. The times I have stopped to go digging a bit, I just cannot seem to find anything to catch my interest when visiting. I can't even find anything appealing at the time for me to repurpose, paint, upcycle, and etc. THAT is bad when my creative side does not work with me either:(
I would like to share this Vintage Fenton Green Opalescent Grape and Cable Collectible Glass Bowl I did get a few years ago with a private auction at a Good Will Store in my area. My pictures cannot do the piece justice. Looks like new, is marked Fenton on the bottom, comes from the 80s, and is a rare find. The color, most of this pattern was done with the carnival glass coloring which makes this find a little more rare too. I have researched it, researched, and had other knowledgable people with glassware, and Fenton help me too. Hard to find in the books. So, I contacted the Fenton Gift Shop....neat place to visit, and learn about things online too. They were able to confirm for me it was made with the Fenton mould, it is Fenton, and felt that maybe this piece might have been made for the gift shop. In that case not many were made like this, very few, and I felt it to be more of a rare find with this.
I have listed this gorgeous piece for sale in my shop at Artfire with my other vintage collectibles. Please, visit with my shop to see the pictures, and details with this piece.
Glad that you were able to stop here with Thrift Store Junkies, and know you are welcome to visit with us here anytime. Please, leave a comment, share with us here, and enjoy the visit. Hope to see you again!:) Take care everyone, and Happy Hunting!:)

Thrift Store Junkies Community Page
Hello, and Welcome to "Thrift Store Junkies" Community Page by LilacsNDreams!
After doing some work, checking around, questioning, and not being all computer literate this is what I have done. Blogger allows you to have up to 10 pages, but there is a catch....which I found out the hard way. Each of those pages are treated as a static page, you can only put one post on there, only way you get more is to keep editing the same post over, and over. THAT is Not what I wanted! In my research I did find you are allowed to have as many blogs as you want. So, in order for me to make this more of the community pages as I wanted, I have revised things a bit. I spent the day checking on blog names, and set up new blogs that link to this main blog so that I can make new posts. Not only new posts, but so that you can comment after each of them too. Whew!
So, let's get this party started...okay? This is to be a page for all of us to share about our thrifting stories, our finds, our comments, questions for other thrifters, and so on. There are more of us Thrift Store Junkies out there than we all realize. Hopefully this will be a place to gather, and do some things with, and most of all....Enjoy!:)
I am off to work with this a bit more. Hope it is understandable why I have done things in this way for everyone to share. Thanks for being patient with me, and watching the changes as they are happening. Comment anytime you please with this. . . . Thank You Bloggers!:)
